Abstract:
PURPOSE:To guide cooling air by a cooling fan efficiently into a frame by mounting the fan in the frame and further providing a fan guide. CONSTITUTION:Cooling fans 32, 34 of front and rear sides secured to a shaft 10 are rotated integrally with the shaft 10. The rotation of the fan 32 guides cooling air 98 from a suction port 50 into the frame. Further, the rotation of the fan 34 guides cooling air 100 through a suction port 94 into the frame. The airs 98, 100 cool a commutator 68 and a stator coil 30, and are then externally exhausted from exhaust ports 52, 96. A cooling fin 70 operates similarly to the side plate of the fan 34 to effectively operate as a fan guide.
