This acceleration evaluation device estimates total vehicular weight including an occupant, a mounted freight and a mounted fuel weight at an abrupt acceleration or abrupt deceleration time, when the automobile is abruptly accelerated or decelerated during travel. The acceleration evaluation device calculates an acceleration threshold value or a deceleration threshold value, based on the estimated total vehicular weight, and informs a driver of it when an acceleration or deceleration (absolute value) comes to the threshold value or more. A purport of "over an acceleration (deceleration) limit" is displayed on a display, when informed.
