Abstract:
PURPOSE: To dispense with a permanent magnet to miniaturize an apparatus and to prevent erroneous operation by energizing an inertia element to a preset position by a coil spring.
CONSTITUTION: At a time of the collision of a car in a decelerated state exceeding a preset level, the ball 54 of a sensor 10 begins to upwardly move along the route prescribed by a bone 50 against the energizing force caused by a blade 24. When the ball 54 moves upwardly, the blade 24 is bent to come into contact with a blade 22 and a current flows to the mechanism 72 developing an air bag 74 from a battery 70 develop the air bag 74. When the deceleration of the car is large, the ball 54 stops at the bent part 52 of the bone and, when the car stops, the ball 54 returns to the stop position by the repulsive forces of the blades 22, 24. Since a large space is unnecessary in the energizing of the ball 54, the apparatus can be miniaturized. Since the ball 54 and the blades 22, 24 are constituted of an electrical conductor, the possibility bringing about the erroneous operation caused by connection inferiority is reduced.
