PURPOSE: To increase a launching speed of a missile without increasing a size of an apparatus and capacity of a power source by forming an inner wall of an arcing chamber of the same material as that of a plasma producer or a material capable of producing a plasma together with the producer.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow cylinder 22 is interposed between an arcing chamber 10 and a porcelain cylinder 50. The cylinder 22 is formed of the same as that of a plasma producer 12 or a material capable of producing a plasma together with the producer such as polyethylene material, polypropylene material. When the producer 12 is decomposed to produce the plasma, a plasma is produced together in the cylinder 22. This is equivalent to the fact that the cylinder 50 is reduced in thickness without increasing an entire apparatus and the producer 12 is filled in larger amount than that of a conventional apparatus. Thus, pressure of the plasma is increased, and a launching speed of a missile is increased larger than that of the conventional apparatus.
