Abstract:

To stabilize detection accuracy of accelerator operating quantity by a rotation detecting means so as to improve reliability by preventing torsional deformation of a rotating shaft.

A wire drum 31 is integrally provided with an engaging claw part 32. Accordingly, in the case of an accelerator pedal being depressed large to rotate the wire drum 31, the engaging claw part 32 provided at the wire drum 31 is directly engaged with a maximum position stopper 27 so as to be able to prevent torsional load from acting upon a rotating shaft 28 between the wire drum 31 and a retainer plate 33. Positional dislocation caused by the deformation of the rotating shaft 28 can therefore be prevented, so that the accelerator operating quantity can be stably detected by a rotating angle sensor.
