The accelerator pedal device comprises a pedal arm 30 having an accelerator pedal 30a, a housing body 10 and a housing cover 20 for rockingly supporting the pedal arm around the predetermined rocking axis L, return springs 53, 40 for returning the pedal arm to the rest position, a rest stopper 15a formed on the housing body 10 to stop the pedal arm at the rest position, and an abutting part 35 provided on the pedal arm so as to be attachably/detachably abutted on the rest stopper. A constraint part 25 for constraining the deformation of a rear wall part 15 for demarcating the rest stopper 15a is provided on the housing cover 20. The accelerator pedal (pedal arm) can be stopped at the predetermined rest position with high accuracy without any positional deviation caused by the secular change or the like.
