To provide an access device for elevator pit excellent in storability and convenience without effort to assemble it.
An access device for elevator pit includes a foldable gangway ladder divided into an upper gangway ladder (7) and a lower gangway ladder (8), the foldable gangway ladder being able to be transformed into a storage state or an upright state. The access device for elevator pit is further provided with: a metal fixture (13) having a long hole (13a) and a groove part (13b); a landing sill fixing bracket (10); and a chain (6). The upper gangway ladder (7) is connected to the long hole (13a) via a lower rotary shaft (11). The foldable gangway ladder has a structure restricting the rotation beyond the upright state. In inspection work, after pulling up the chain (6) and making the foldable gangway ladder be in the upright state, the foldable gangway ladder is lowered so that the landing sill fixing bracket (10) is inserted into the landing sill (3) and a coming-out stop shaft (12) is inserted into the groove part (13b) of the metal fixture, thereby maintaining the upright state.
