Abstract:
To apply large load torque to a belt in, for example, engine start, in a device for driving an auxiliary machine through the belt from an engine output shaft.SOLUTION: The rotation of a pulley body 10 is transmitted to an output member 15 via a coil spring 13 and a ratchet 16. When the output member 15 rotates faster than the pulley body 10, the ratchet 16 idles. The coil spring 13 transmits torque while absorbing fluctuations in belt tension during normal operation; when receiving large load torque in, for example, engine start, contacts with a shock absorbing member 17 following diameter expanding operation to deform the shock absorbing member 17, and absorbs the large load torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
