Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge an accidental fire quickly and accurately at the returning time to a state in which an accidental fire can be judged even in such case that a running state in which the accidental fire can not be judged is frequently appeared by keeping even one of the number of combustion and the number of an accidental fire ignition, when an internal combustion engine is transfered to the running state except the running state in which the accidental fire can be judged.
SOLUTION: A running state judging means (S300), an accidental fire judging means and the number of combustion count means (S306) for counting the number of combustion nTDCA, nTDCBC are provided in an internal combustion engine. An accidental fire state judging means (S316, 326) for judging the accidental fire state by comparing the number of an accidental fire ignition count means for counting the number of accidental fire ignition nMFA, nMFBC judged as the accidental fire by the accidental fire judging means and the number of accidental fire ignition nMFA, nMFBC with a reference value MFTDCCAT, MFTDCBC are provided. When the internal combustion engine is transfered to the running state except the running state in which the accidental fire can be judged, a hold means (S302) for holding at least either one of the number of combustion nTDCA, nTDCBC counted by the number of combustion count means and the number of accidental fire ignition count means and the number of accidental fire ignition nMFA, nMFBC is provided.
