To solve the problem that a discharged prepaid card is left after account settlement by the prepaid card caused by an issued slip which distracts the attention.
A control circuit 66 pulls in the inserted card, reads card information, makes the settlement of the account based on the card information, and updates the card information to account-settled information. It discharges the card after the card information is updated, and issues a slip with the account-settled information of the current settlement printed from a printer 82 when it is detected that the discharged card has been drawn out. Since the slip with the account-settled information of the current settlement printed is thus issued after the card 94 is discharged following the settlement and the card 94 is detected to have been drawn out, the slip is to be taken after the card 94 is removed, thereby preventing the card 94 from being left when taking the slip.
