Abstract:
To provide a self-checkout machine that can automatically perform adjustment processing and packing processing without problems even when products include a product that is too big to be held in a shopping basket.SOLUTION: An accounting machine determines whether a customer has a large-sized product. When the customer has a large-sized product, the accounting machine displays a guidance for reading a bar code of the large-sized product with a handy bar code reader. When the accounting machine reads the bar code to acquire product identification information on the large-sized product, it creates a purchase product list based on product information. The accounting machine performs adjustment processing based on the purchase product list. Upon completion of the adjustment processing, the accounting machine issues, to the customer, stickers indicating the completion of adjustment in accordance with the number of large-sized products.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
