Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a power storage device itself such as a battery from reducing an amount of charge thereof to such degree that engine start is disabled, without depending on an external system.SOLUTION: When determining that a cell voltage value of a cell C of an assembled battery 11 is equal to or lower than a threshold value for power saving, a BMS (Battery Management System) 13 changes a relay 12 from a close state to an open state. This prevents power of a power storage element from being consumed by an electric load. Further, when determining that the cell voltage value is equal to or less than the threshold value for power saving, the BMS 13 changes a power consumption state of the BMS 13 from a sleep mode to a deep sleep mode in which less power is consumed than in the sleep mode. This configuration suppresses power consumption of the assembled battery 11 by the BMS 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
