A case transferred by a separate conveyor 7 is dropped in an accumulating hopper 16 of the accumulating means 3. The dropping case is stacked on each other by a receiving elevator 17 having a comb teeth-shaped first elevator 27 and a comb teeth-shaped second elevator 28 each retractably mounted in the accumulating hopper 16, is delivered onto a seat plate and is discharged to a packaging means 4 by a pusher. The accumulating hopper 16 of the accumulating means 3 and the receiving elevator 17 are attached to a base plate 12 of a door portion 10. In a state of the door 10 being closed, the accumulating means 3 is housed in a housing portion 8 adjacent to the separate conveyor 7 to enable the accumulation treatment of the case. In a state of the door being opened, the accumulating means 3 is removed from the line to conduct repair, maintenance and inspection of the accumulating hopper 16 and the receiving elevator 17.
