A device having inclined bases provided with a plurality of free rollers on an inclined upper surface and installed in parallel to each other and accumulating the work piece by moving it to a inclined downward direction by its own weight is generally used in a production line as the device for temporarily accumulating the work piece fed to a subsequent step. In the accumulation device for the work piece, a plurality of first belt conveyors 1-4 are provided with a space in an inclination direction and second belt conveyors 5-7 are provided at a lateral side of the part spaced from each other of the first belt conveyors 1-4 in parallel to the first belt conveyors 1-4. The work pieces are moved to the inclined downward direction while alternately and quietly transferring onto the first belt conveyors 1-4 and the second belt conveyors 5-7 and are successively accumulated from the first belt conveyor 7 at the lowermost part to the upper conveyors. The work pieces are not abutted on each other.
