Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a set of accumulated items allowing all of the individual items to change their orientations without changing their relative positions even during a high speed operation.SOLUTION: An accumulation device comprises: an arm 32 including a plurality of storage parts 32a, each of which has at least two gates facing toward respective different directions, stores an item XA1, and arranged in a lateral row; a cylinder 34; and a link mechanism 35. The cylinder 34 and the link mechanism 35 rotate the arm 32 in a direction orthogonal to a direction where the storage parts 32a are aligned so as to move the item XA1, which has come in through one gate, out through the other gate to transfer the item XA1 to a transportation surface 51 of a guide unit 50 on the downstream side, while changing a posture of the item XA1.
