A timer mechanism 7 is added to a supply pump 4, and the timer mechanism 7 is electrically driven according to the rotational frequency (NE) of an engine, a target injection volume (Q), and injection timing (T) of an injector 3, so as to change a phase angle of a pump shaft 16 of the supply pump 4 against a crankshaft 15 (a rotor 24) of the engine 1 in a range of the phase angle between a predetermined position of the pump shaft and an engine TDC. This prevents a pump pressure-transfer period of the supply pump 4 from matching with an injection period of the injector 3 of a specific cylinder (for example, #1 cylinder), to improve accuracy of the injection volume at the time of injecting the fuel and reduce dispersion of the injection volume in every fuel injection.
