Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve re-edition ability and to save labor by recognizing image information provisionally accumulated on an optical disk, etc. and allowing a computer to automatically re-edit said information. CONSTITUTION:The computer 11 reads out the initial image information 31 in a read image file stored on the optical disk A13, and field-segments an image dot data 32 to be recognized based on field segment information stored on a magnetic disk 12. The segmented data 32 is added with its size, the size of characters, the number of characters and the type of characters as additional information, and transmitted to a recognition processor 15. It is activated and the computer is waiting for the processing of the processor 15. Based on an edition program stored on the magnet disk 12, the computer 11 decides the number of recognized characters in the field of the image information where the image dot data 32 shown by the code data 34 lies.
