To solve the problem that cleaning treatment equipment is required heretofore in a construction method for cleaning a pollutant before accumulating the same and a construction method for cleaning a pollutant occurring after accumulation in a waste disposal plant, or the like, and a long period of time is required for cleaning.
Since iron powder or a cleaning material mixed with the iron powder is laid and a pollutant is accumulated on the cleaning material layer to be cleaned by the reductive reaction of the iron powder, cleaning treatment equipment is not required. Further, since reductive reaction can be regulated by changing the mixing amount of the iron powder and the thickness of the mixed cleaning material, a cleaning period can be set.
