Abstract:

To obtain an accumulator and the like allowing a refrigerant and a proper amount of refrigerating machine oil to return to a compressor.

An accumulator 1 is installed between an evaporator 7 of a refrigeration cycle device and a refrigerant suction side of a compressor 2, and includes a sealed container body 21 holding a liquid refrigerant and refrigerating machine oil having non-compatibility or difficult solubility with the refrigerant, an inflow pipe 24 for flowing a refrigerant containing refrigerating machine oil from the evaporator 7 into the container, and a plurality of U-tubes 22 having a liquid return hole 25 for flowing a liquid refrigerant containing the refrigerating machine oil in the container into the pipe and an inlet 23 located at a position higher than the liquid return hole 25 in the container, for flowing a gaseous or liquid refrigerant into the pipe, and flowing out the refrigerant to the compressor 2, and the height of the position of the liquid return hole 25 in the container is a height or more which is obtained by subtracting a height portion related to a refrigerating machine oil amount portion held in the container from a height of the inlet 23 in the container.
