To provide an accumulator requiring no drive source and capable of preventing decrease in an oil circulation rate at a low temperature without inducing complicated and high cost structure.
The accumulator includes: a liquid accumulating chamber in which a refrigerant can be accumulated; a refrigerant inlet 4a for supplying the refrigerant to the liquid accumulating chamber 2; a refrigerant outlet 5a for discharging the refrigerant in the liquid accumulating chamber 2; an oil return hole 6 opened in the lower part of the liquid accumulating chamber 2; a swirling and deflecting member 10 that generates a swirling flow in the refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant inlet 4a by the flow power of the refrigerant itself; and an interference ridge wall 21 that agitates the refrigerant in a swirling flow by the swirling and deflecting member 10 in vertical directions.
