To provide a method for producing an acetylenic polymer capable of producing an acetylenic polymer available as an electrode active material which has high radical density and can achieve miniaturization, capacity increase and weight reduction of a lithium-ion secondary battery.
The method for producing the acetylenic polymer comprises a polymerization step for polymerizing a substituted acetylene monomer having a radicalized substituent by using a metal complex catalyst having a 8-10 group element in the periodic table as a central atom. Further, the method for producing the acetylenic polymer comprises a polymerization step for polymerizing a substituted acetylene monomer having a substituent which contains a nitroxyl radical-generating site by using a metal complex catalyst having a 8-10 group element in the periodic table as a central atom to form a non-radical polymer and a radicalization step for radicalizing the non-radical polymer obtained in the polymerization step.
