First to fourth measurement microphones 16-1 to 16-4 measuring sound pressure in an acoustic tube 11 are arranged between a sound source 14 of the acoustic tube 11 and a test piece 15 in parallel along a length of the acoustic tube 11, and first to third characteristic impedances are calculated upon the basis of measured first to fourth sound pressure signals P1-P4 among four lengthwise positions. An operation value which deviates by a predetermined reference value or larger is detected and replaces an average value of other two operation values so as to calculate and output an average value of the first to third characteristic impedances.
