Abstract:
To provide an actuator that utilizes an acoustic streaming phenomenon, has a simple configuration, and can be operated in a liquid.
The acoustic streaming actuator 1 comprises a planar piezoelectric element 2; external electrodes 3, 4 that are provided on both the surfaces 2a, 2b of the piezoelectric element 2 and apply a high-frequency voltage to the piezoelectric element 2; and an acoustic wave adjustment means 7 for allowing the strength of an acoustic wave generated at the sides of both the surfaces 2a, 2b of the piezoelectric element 2 to differ.
