Abstract:
To provide an electromagnet-based acoustic transducer with reduced distortion.
A driver for an acoustic transducer 406 has a moving coil 420 substantially as long as an air gap 436. The air gap itself may be extended in length by using an upper lip 442 and/or a lower lip 444. A stationary coil 418 is also provided. The moving and stationary coils can be controlled by suitable control blocks to form an electromagnet-based transducer with reduced distortion.
