Abstract:

PURPOSE: To adjust a resonance frequency in a lowering direction without degrading resonance characteristics by removing the piezoelectric plate part of the node part of vibration.
CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric resonator 11 is provided with a piezoelectric resonance part 12 at a center and excitation electrodes 14 and 15 are respectively formed on the upper surface and lower surface of a rectangular piezoelectric ceramic plate 13 for the piezoelectric resonance part 12. Connection parts 16 and 17 are connected to the center of both side faces along the short sides of the piezoelectric ceramic plate 11 and holding parts 18 and 19 are connected to the outer side ends of the connection parts 16 and 17. By applying an AC voltage from terminal electrodes 21 and 23, the piezoelectric resonance part 12 is excited in a width spreading mode. The node point of the vibration is positioned at a point O at the center of the main surface of the piezoelectric ceramic plate 13 and the point O is mechanically supported and not used as a part for electrically connecting an outside. Thus, by cutting the node point O and the adjacent part, the resonance frequency is adjusted in the lowering direction.
