Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a vibration sensible to human body with naturally widening by including a frame member and a vibrator which is fitted to the frame member and generates a mechanical vibration in accordance with an electrical signal, and fitting the vibrator to the free end of a cantilever beam-like flexible vibration transmitting member securely provided on the frame member.

CONSTITUTION: Vibrators 6 are fitted on free ends of flexible vibration transmitting members 7 securely provided on a sear frame 3 and back frame 4 in a cantilever beam shape. The flexible vibration transmitting member is of steel plate, or obtained by bending and forming resin in a doglegged shape, and welded to the seat and back frames 3 and 4. An axial center of the vibrator 6 is separated from that of the seat frame 3 by a distance l. By providing the flexible vibration transmitting member 7 in such a way, the vibrating energy of the vibrator 6 can be transmitted to the frame member as much as possible, furthermore, a reflected energy amount giving adverse influence to the vibrator 6 as a vibrating source can be suppressed.
