Title:
ACRYLIC ADHESIVE MASS COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPE USING THE SAME COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002241709
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain an acrylic adhesive mass composition for producing an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having sufficient pressure-sensitive adhesion characteristics to a low-surface energy material such as a polyolefin or an automotive coated surface, and to provide a method for producing the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive tape using the composition.

This acrylic adhesive mass composition comprises an acrylic monomer, an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive polymer having ≤50,000 Mw, an acrylic tackifier resin having ≤20,000 Mw and ≥20°C Tg, a photopolymerization initiator and a crosslinking agent without substantially containing water and a solvent. The composition is cast on a support and irradiated with ultraviolet rays at 1-500 (W/m2) intensity so as to provide 5-20 wt.% of the amount of the residual monomer. Thereby, photopolymerization is carried out to conduct drying by heating so as to afford ≤5,000 ppm of the residual monomer.
