Abstract:

To provide an acrylic fiber-based plush product which can solve a fiber-falling problem.

This acrylic fiber-based plush product is characterized by having spun yarns comprising (A) 20 to 80 wt.% of acrylic staple fibers having a fineness of 0.9 to 19.0 dtex and (B) 80 to 20 wt.% of highly shrinkable acrylic staple fibers having a boiling water shrinkage percent of ≥40% as pile yarns, forming guide pipe portions from the fibers (A), forming downpile portions from the fibers (B), and having an excellent fiber falling-preventing property. The method for producing the acrylic fiber-based plush product is characterized by using the highly boiling water shrinkable acrylic staple fibers as pile yarns and shrinking the highly boiling water shrinkable acrylic staple fibers to prevent the falling of the piles.
