Abstract:

To propose an acrylic reinforced artificial marble with excellent impact resistance even when its thickness is made thin, being inexpensive and light in weight and with excellent workability and a method for manufacturing the same.

The method for manufacturing the acrylic reinforced artificial marble is characterized by casting a composition, produced by mixing inorganic filler fine particles and a hardening agent into syrup produced by blending a methacrylic resin containing an acrylic rubber with methyl methacrylate, into a metallic mold, heating and polymerizing.
