To provide an acrylic resin film which has good handleability, is excellent in toughness and impact resistance, has a high surface hardness, and has excellent surface smoothness that is almost free of surface defects.
This invention relates to an acrylic resin film prepared by melt-kneading a methacrylic resin (A) of a weight-average molecular weight of 40,000 or higher with a polyvinyl acetal resin (B) prepared by acetalizing a polyvinyl alcohol resin of a viscosity-average polymerization degree of 200-4,000 with a 4C or higher aldehyde and a 3C or lower aldehyde so that the acetalized repeating units account for 65-85 mol% of the entire repeating units, and the molar ratio between the repeating units acetalized with the 4C or higher aldehyde and the repeating units acetalized with the 3C or lower aldehyde is 90/10 to 0/100 in a mass ratio ((A)/(B)) of 99/1 to 51/49, extruding the mixture in a molten state through a T die, and bringing both surfaces of the extrudate into contact with the surfaces of mirror-surface rolls or the surfaces of mirror-surface belts.
