Title:
ACRYLIC SOL FOR SOUNDPROOF UNDERCOATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3913444
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic sol for a soundproof undercoating, which generates neither hydrogen chloride gas nor dioxins during incineration and can reveal good resistance to chipping and sufficient soundproofing performance.
SOLUTION: The acrylic sol contains fine acrylic polymer particles, a plasticizer, a filler, a blocked urethane resin, a curing agent and a foaming agent. Since the main constituent units comprise fine acrylic polymer particles, the sol generates neither hydrogen chloride gas nor dioxins during incineration. The coating film obtained from the sol has a network structure due to the crosslinking reaction of the urethane resin and has an increased bulk due to the foaming agent, so that it has good resistance to cold and good adherence to an automobile steel sheet and reveals excellent resistance to chipping and soundproofing performance.
