Abstract:

To provide a synthetic lubricant that includes acrylic polymer having a relatively low molecular weight.

The synthetic lubricant comprises an acrylic polymer having (a) Mn of at least 1,000 and less than 20,000, (b) at least one kind of alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer residue having 2-6C alkyl group, and (c) terminal reactive group originating from the radical chain transfer agent.
