This active anti-rolling device comprises the movable mass 2 linearly moving on an anti-rolling object 1, a motor 3 capable of mutually converting the moving energy of the movable mass 2 and the electric energy, a chargeable power source 4 connected to the motor 3, a sensor 5 for detecting the rolling amount of the anti-rolling object 1, an anti-rolling control means 7 for determining the controlling target force to be acted on the movable mass 2 from the motor 3 for reducing the displacement of the anti-rolling object on the assumption that a mechanical spring force acting on the movable mass 2 corresponding to the displacement of the movable mass 2 exists, an electric spring force operating means 8 for operating the electric spring force acting on the movable mass 2 from the motor 3 corresponding to the displacement of the movable mass 2, and a switching control means for switching and controlling the circuit connection of the motor 3 and the power source 4 on the basis of the controlling target force plus electric spring force.
