Title:
ACTIVE CARBON HONEYCOMB AND ITS UTILIZATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3283298
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove many malodor components or harmful components in a gas to be treated by making ventilation resistance small.
CONSTITUTION: The gas to be treated containing malodor components or harmful components is treated by an iodine and/or inorganic iodide carrying active carbon honeycomb 6 provided in a gas flow passage 5 from a gas introducing opening 3 to a gas discharge opening 4. The gas to be treated may be also treated by the iodine and/or inorganic iodide carrying active carbon honeycomb and an acid carrying active carbon honeycomb. A fan 8 may be provided on the down stream side of the gas flow passage 5. The fan 8 may be operated by linking to the detection of malodor components or harmful components by a sensor or to a timer controlling the working time of a motor. As a result, various malodor components or harmful components such as ammonia and sulfur containing compounds the efficiently removed.
