Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition with high curing rate, excellent in workability and long-term stability, capable of giving cured products of sufficient mechanical strength and flexibility, and suitable as an optical fiber coating material or the like by including a specific maleimide derivative. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) a maleimide derivative of the formula [(m) and (n) are each 0-6, (m+n) being 1-6; R11 and R12 are each an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon chain; G1 and G2 are each an ether linkage, ester linkage, urethane linkage or carbonate linkage; R2 is a (poly)ether coupled chain or (poly)ether residue, (poly)urethane coupled chain or (poly)urethane residue, or the like, with an average molecular weight of 40-100,000, each formed by coupling aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon chains or aliphatic or aromatic groups through ether linkages, urethane linkages, or the like] and (B) as necessary, a compound copolymerizable with maleimide group.
