To obtain the subject composition which has excellent rapid curability, gives cured products having excellent hardness, and is useful for coatings, paints, printing inks, adhesives, fillers, molding materials, resists, and so on, by compounding a di(meth)acrylate having the specific number of cyclic imide groups with a mono(meth)acrylate having the specified number of cyclic imide group.
This active energy ray-curable type composition comprises (A) a di(meth)acrylate having two or more cyclic imide groups, preferably a compound of formula I [R0 is the residue of an aromatic group-containing tetracarboxylic acid anhydride; R1 is H or methyl; R2 is an alkylene; and (m) is 1 to 6], and (B) a mono(meth)acrylate having one cyclic imide group, preferably a compound of formula II [R3 is H or methyl; R4 is an alkylene; R5, R6 are each a ≤4C alkyl, or R5, R6 form together a carbon ring; (n) is 1 to 6; and (...) is a single bond or a double bond]. The components A and B are preferably contained in amounts of 5 to 85 wt.% and 95 to 15 wt.%, respectively.
