Abstract:

To provide an active energy ray-curable varnish composition which is used in a surface processing method comprising the steps of: applying active energy ray-curable varnish to a film base material; superposing a polyolefin film on the varnish-applied surface; curing a coating film by active energy rays; and peeling off the superposed polyolefin film, which allows the coating film to exhibit excellent adhesiveness to the film base material and have curability and beautiful decoratability, be excellent in scratch resistance and bending aptitude and satisfy extremely high required physical properties and to provide a label or a package obtained by using the active energy ray-curable varnish composition.

The active energy ray-curable varnish of the active energy ray-curable varnish composition comprises (A) a cationically polymerizable epoxy monomer, (B) epoxy acrylate, (C) a photopolymerization initiator and (D) a silicone-based additive and has 1.5-2.5 Dyne/cm2 yield value.
