The lithium cell 1 is characterized in that it includes a positive electrode 2, a negative electrode 3 and a Li-electrolyte ingredient including an electrolyte containing Li, and either the positive electrode 2 or the negative electrode 3 includes a chemical compound expressed by the general formula MP2O7 (M is at least one of metal atoms selected from Ti, Zr and Hf) capable of absorbing and releasing the Li as the active material and the other contains a matter containing the Li.
