Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the holding characteristic of video signals by electrically disconnecting one of the gate electrodes of plural transistors from the gate electrodes of the other transistors at least. CONSTITUTION:Gate bus lines 101a and 101b are respectively operated as the gate electrodes of thin film transistors(TFT) 103a, 103b, and the picture element TFT 103a, 103b are serially connected. Then, a source bus line 102 is connected through a contact hole 105 to the source electrode of the TFT 103a, and a picture element electrode 104 formed by a transparent conductive film such as an ITO, etc., is connected through a contact hole 106 to the drain electrode of the TFT 103b. Therefore, the respective gate electrodes are electrically disconnected at the plural TFT 103a 103b as the switching elements of the picture elements, and various potentials are impressed. Thus, an OFF current is reduced in comparison with the case of electrically connecting the respective gate electrodes and the display characteristic is improved.
