Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively contribute the discharging of a capacitor to a switching by connecting a resistance between the emitter of the input transistor within a current switch and a constant power source.
CONSTITUTION: A resistance R7 is inserted between the emitter of an input transistor Q1 and the collector of the transistor Q3 of a constant current source Ics. Therefore, when an input signal VIN changes from a high level to a low level and the collector voltage V1 of the transistor Q1 becomes from the low level to the high level, the electric charge stored in the capacitor C1 of differentiating circuit D is discharged as shown in the arrow I1. As a result, the emitter voltage of the transistor Q1 rises considerably by the voltage drop due to a resistance element R7, this voltage decreases the base-emitter voltage of the transistor Q1 and the transistor Q1 is sharply turned off. Thus, the collector voltage V1 of the transistor Q1 rises sharply.
