Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blend effective for superinfection without remarkably loosing biological bacterial florae on skin. SOLUTION: This active material blend contains (I) 0.01-10wt.% α-ω-alkane dicarboxylic acid of the formula, HOOC-(CH2 )n -COOH [(n) is 1-8] and (II) 0.05-10wt.% natural wool wax mixture or wool wax acid mixture capable of being obtained by distilling the natural wool wax mixture as effective ingredients. The produced ratio of (I): (II) is (5:1)-(1:5), especially (1:1). The wool wax acid mixture is obtained from a crude wool wax acid by short-cut distillation from 150-200 deg.C distillation temperature range under 10<-1> bar reduced pressure. The wool wax acid mixture obtained by distillation shows 50-54 deg.C dropping point, 166-170 acid value, 175-190 saponification value, 60-80 OH value and 7-12 iodine number. The active material blend expressed remarkable action especially against Staphylococci, Pityrosporum ovale and dermal molds.
