Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a three-phase power supply regulator for converting an AC signal into a DC signal with high power factor while suppressing harmonic currents over the entire power level.
CONSTITUTION: The three-phase power supply regulator comprises a first circuit 20 for converting an AC input signal from a three-phase power supply into a DC output signal and converting the first phase of the input signal into a first DC output signal, a second circuit 22 for converting the second phase of the input signal into a second DC output signal, a third circuit 24 for converting the third phase of the input signal into a third DC output signal, and a control circuit 30 for regulating the power being supplied to a load from the first, second and third circuits 20, 22 and 24. Each of the first, second and third circuits 20, 22 and 24 comprises a boost converter and the control circuit 30 comprises a load distribution controller.
