Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light and pliable active woven fabric capable of realizing large generation force and a large amount of shrinkage by using the McKibben artificial muscles.SOLUTION: An active woven fabric using artificial muscles comprises artificial muscle yarn 10 and weaving yarn 20. The artificial muscle yarn 10 uses the McKibben artificial muscles consisting of an elastic tube 11 and a braided tube 12, and the elastic tube 11 is made of a hollow cylindrical elastic body. The braided tube 12 is formed by movably twisting filaments 13 on an exterior wall of the elastic tube 11 and performing tubular knitting. The weaving yarn 20 is woven with the artificial muscle yarn 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
