Abstract:
To provide a bending drive type actuator having high deformation response characteristics and a large generation force.
An actuator includes a pair of electrodes and an electrolyte layer disposed between the pair of electrodes, and is deformed by application of voltage between the pair of electrodes. The electrolyte layer includes an electrolyte, a matrix supporting the electrolyte in a cavity and comprising a polymeric material, and a matrix reinforcement material for reinforcing the matrix. At least part of the matrix reinforcement material is embedded in the matrix.
