Abstract:
To provide an actuator unit for an electric parking brake which can be installed at a small vehicle without affecting structure and layouts of a crushable space and other members such as a brake cable.SOLUTION: An actuator unit (1) includes: a holding member (6) fixed to a structure (2) of a vehicle (V); a linear actuator (7) fixed to the holding member; a lever (9) connected to an output member (30) of the actuator and a brake cable (5). The actuator and the brake cable are connected through the lever to enable the actuator unit to be arranged not in front of a traction rod (3) and an equalizer (4) but at the lateral side of these components. Therefore, the actuator unit can be disposed at the rear relative to a crushable space (44) provided at the front end side of the vehicle without changing a layout of the brake cable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
