To provide an actuator which effectively enables a tubular body to contract in an axis direction even if a second tubular body is provided outside the tubular body.
The actuator 1 includes the tubular body 2 having elasticity, a net shaped body 3 formed by knitting a first fibrous body spirally wounded in an axis C1 direction of the tubular body with a plurality of fibers mutually arranged in parallel and a second fibrous body spirally wounded in an axis direction with a plurality of fibers mutually arranged in parallel, and provided on the peripheral surface from one end side 2a to another end side 2b of the tubular body, a fixing member 4 provided on the peripheral surface of the tubular body and fixing the net shaped body on the peripheral surface of the tubular body, and the second tubular body 5 coaxially disposed with the tubular body outside the tubular body. In the actuator 1, when the tubular body is expanded in a radial direction while the tubular body is contracted in an axis direction while allowing a fluid flow from an opening 2c, at least one of the tubular body, the net shaped body, and the fixing member abuts on the inner circumference surface of the second tubular body from one end side of the tubular body from one end side to another end side of the tubular body.
