Abstract:
To provide an acute phase reactant transcription inhibitor originated from a safe food material, and to provide a composition for preventing and/or improving, treating diseases caused by the expression of the acute phase reactant.
According to the present invention, the acute phase reactant transcription inhibitor containing a hydrophobic extract of licorice as an active ingredient is obtained, and a composition for preventing and/or improving, treating diseases related to tissue damages, etc., caused by the expression of acute phase reactant is provided. The composition of the present invention is safe, and is effective for preventing and/or improving, treating the diseases caused by the expression of the acute phase reactant.
