Abstract:
To obtain a compound having excellent heat resistance; and to provide an organic electroluminescent element obtained by using the compound, and having high luminous efficiency and excellent heat resistance.
An adamantane derivative as the above compound has a substituent containing an orthoterphenyl structure represented by formula (1), and is exemplified by 2,2-bis[4-(o-terphenyl)]adamantane, 1,3-bis[4-(o-terphenyl)]adamantane or 1,3-bis[4-(o-terphenyl)]-5,7-dimethyladamantane.
