Abstract:
To provide an adapter which can functionalize various types of optical systems appropriately for a lens interchangeable type camera system.
An adapter comprises: a first mount unit to/from which a camera body is attachable and detachable; a second mount unit which is provided independently of the first mount unit, and to/from which any one of several types of interchangeable lenses varying in control systems of diaphragms each other is attachable and detachable; and an accessory control unit to control the diaphragm of the interchangeable lens depending on a common control command received from the camera body regardless of the type of the interchangeable lens attached to the second mount unit.
