To provide an adapter and a connector by which another audio-visual apparatus can be connected between the audiovisual apparatuses connected by using a multiple pin terminal.

A multiple-pin plug part 2 and a multiple-pin jack part 3 are arranged in a casing 1. Respective pins of this plug part 2 and respective jack holes of the jack part 3 are connected to each other, and all signals treated by a multiple-pin terminal can be inputted and outputted. Terminal parts 41, 42, 43 and 44 connected to the prescribed pins are arranged in the casing 1 between this plug part 2 and the jack part 3. A signal also necessary for the other audiovisual apparatus connected between two audiovisual apparatuses connected by using an adapter, is supplied through these terminal parts 41, 42, 43 and 44.
